Badly Bitten Lips Emergencies2023-02-21T08:21:10-05:00

Patients at times accidentally bite or puncture their inner oral tissue which can cause a lot of discomfort. At All Smiles Dental we have helped a countless number of patients who seek our help with such problems. The procedures vary from case to case and they can be treated with advanced dental tools such as lasers.

Contact our office at 905-235-6999 to make an appointment to have Dr. Nada Albatish assess your injury.

Are You In Pain

If you are in a lot of pain, a topical pain medication can be prescribed to help relieve your symptoms. Patients need to learn that they do not need to live with agonizing pain and that help is attainable and reaching our office can be done through a simple phone call or an email. Sometime if these problems are neglected the symptoms can get worse. If neglected some of the most simple oral problems can lead to major infections and the excruciating pain that can follow.

Lips bleeding and will not stop

If there is bleeding, put pressure with a clean cloth on the part of your mouth where the bleeding is coming from, and it should slow down and eventually stop. If your lip is swollen, use an ice pack to help keep the swelling down.

Ulcers or canker sores can develop from bad bites on lips or cheeks. Come in for an evaluation if you are in a lot of pain, but generally, ulcers heal on their own with no treamtent in about7-10 days.
